Your Guide to the NSW Battery Rebate

The NSW Government is offering a rebate to help households and businesses install solar batteries. This incentive can significantly reduce reliance on the grid, lower electricity bills, and improve energy independence.

What is the NSW Battery Rebate?
The rebate reduces the upfront cost of installing solar batteries for homes. Batteries store excess solar energy, allowing you to use it at night or during cloudy periods, cutting energy costs. They can also provide backup power during blackouts when paired with a Semi Off-Grid switch.

AusPac Solar specialises in Semi Off-Grid installations, having completed dozens of these systems in 2024.

Key Benefits of the Rebate:

  • Save $1,600–$2,400 on the upfront cost of a solar battery.
  • Reduce electricity bills by using stored energy during peak times.
  • Protect your home from blackouts.
  • Avoid low feed-in tariffs by using your energy when you need it.
  • Join a Virtual Power Plant (VPP) to earn up to $400 annually by feeding energy back to the grid.
  • Gain energy independence with a Semi Off-Grid system.
