Meet Diane, from Roma QLD.
Diane owns Westlands Engineering & Hydraulics. Recently we installed a 21kW PV + 11.6kWh Battery at her residence north of Roma.
Diane’s monthly bills were coming in at $615 per month ($7,300 annually). Putting a strain on her budget, she could see where she could cut down on her power bills.
AusPac Solar recently attended the Roma show in May 2024, where they met with Diane, had a chat about her power usage and put together a design to assist her in significantly lowering her bills with Solar and Battery.
AusPac put together a system that brought down her monthly electricity bills to $12.25 per month ($147 annually).
The system AusPac proposed included Sumec Phono Panels, a Solax inverter and Solax battery.
With this system, it renders her system Semi Off-Grid as a whole home backup solution. If she were to have a blackout or experience a brown out, she has a home system now that is Semi Off-Grid and can sustain her usage. She will not notice there’s a power outage.
Her system price came in at $46,000 which included installation labour costs.
Given how many panels she would be installing, her Federal Government STC Rebate would come in at $8,400.00, subtracting from her total cost. Her system became $36,000 thanks to the STC rebate.
At this cost, Diane’s payback period on her investment is 5 years, and at the rate of forecasted electricity price increases (13% annually) Diane’s payback period will be closer to 2.5 years.
